Our story

Life & Family Pregnancy Center (VIFAC Brownsville) has a heartwarming history rooted in supporting women in need. Originating from VIFAC Mexico, a non-profit founded in 1985, it was created to help pregnant women in difficult situations. Over the years, VIFAC has been a beacon of hope in various Mexican cities.
In 2018, VIFAC expanded to Brownsville, Texas, initially operating from an old school building on Jefferson St. Since then, Life & Family Pregnancy Center has supported over 300 women, offering vital assistance during and after their pregnancies. The center operates independently with its own funding and a dedicated local Board of Directors, ensuring all services are free and tailored to the women's needs.
In 2023, the center moved to a welcoming house at 504 E. Levee St., thanks to a local family's generosity. This new location continues the mission of providing a safe and supportive environment for women facing unexpected pregnancies and financial struggles, creating a caring community dedicated to their well-being and success.
